2008 LCAC FALL GALA SILENT AUCTION
WHAT IS A SILENT AUCTION?
An silent auction is like a sale. You will have a chance to buy items that have been donated by businesses, professional contractors and associations, civic organizations and individuals. You have a chance of buying an item by making a bid. That is, you offer an amount of money that you would be willing to pay. Another person may come by and want the same item so he/she may offer more money, making a higher bid. At the end of the auction, the person with the highest bid goes home with the item.
The LCAC Gala Silent Auction has been a wonderful way to help LCAC raise money each year. What a wonderful way to donate or bid at the event on beautiful and useful items and support the fine work that LCAC does. These items can include:
- Product Baskets from Local Merchants
- Fine Jewelry
- Artwork, Antiques, and Handmade Crafts
- Sport and Gym Memberships
- Family Museum Memberships
- Personal Pampering: Massages, Hair Treatments, Spa Days
- Restaurant Gift Certificates
- VIP Passes to TV Shows
- Professional Home Improvements and Supplies
- Professional Teeth Whitening
- Professional Photo Shoots
- Live Concerts or Satellite Radio Service
- Tours of the Capital and Lunch with your Congressman
- Autographed Memorabilia
