Lorton Community Action Center 2008 Fall Gala

2008 LCAC FALL GALA SPONSORSHIP

Each year a group of tenacious volunteers, community businesses, and local residents gather together as friends and family with a common goal - to raise money for the Lorton Community Action Center.

This year, the annual LCAC Gala and Auction, will be held on Saturday, November 1st in the Lorton Arts Foundation gallery building on Rt. 123. It is a major fundraiser, and draws enthusiastic community and civic support. Approximately two hundred fifty people are expected to attend to enjoy an elegant evening of silent and live auctions, dinner, live music and dancing.

This evening is set aside to raise money through ticket sales, cash contributions, and generously donated auction items. It provides an opportunity for individuals and businesses to contribute aid to enhance the quality of the community through family services and community programs.

For the last thirty years, Lorton Community Action Center has been dedicated to helping underprivileged families of the Southern Fairfax County area. LCAC promotes the importance of healthy families and helps clients to reach self-sufficiency. LCAC provides:

  • Food
  • Financial Assistance
  • Housing Assistance
  • Employment Counseling
  • Pro-Bono Legal Services
  • After School Teen Enrichment and Tutor Programs
  • Summer Lunches
  • School Supplies
  • ESL Classes

Many have supported LCAC in the past and each year we receive help with a resounding, "Yes, count us in! " We thank those donors for their continuing commitment and recognition of an agency rated as "one of the finest small charities in the Washington, DC area," by the Catalogue for Philanthropy.

Please join businesses, neighbors, and friends in helping LCAC by becoming a LCAC Gala Sponsor.
